According to the first investigations, Rosa told the funeral home by phone that Pilar had no family.
She presented an authorization to the funeral home for the burial of the body and also provided a copy of Pilar's ID and her own ID.
"We believe that she has falsified everything. My mother was very distrustful and I don't think she is capable of signing that power of attorney. Not even my mother gave her the keys to the house when she hired her and she always opened the door. We don't know how she had the keys of the house and the reason why she was found dead ", clarifies the daughter.
The funeral home employee acknowledged in his statement to the Police that Rosa, the caregiver, hired the incineration service by telephone due to the exceptionality of the pandemic situation that was being experienced in those days.
