The email is a reaction to an article about 23-year-old Samuel who died of a drug overdose.

In the article, Samuel's mother talks about her son.

Mats Olsson writes in the email to SVT's reporter:

"It surprises me that mother Anette did not mention anything about the Arabs and Negroes who sold the drugs to their son.

Or maybe you chose not to write about this? ”

He runs a company in Östhammar and the email is sent from his job address.

"Do not remember"

When SVT Uppsala calls Mats Olsson and wants to talk about how he commented on the article, he says:

- Well, was it you in Uppsala who wrote it?

No, it was a colleague of mine who wrote it, but I've seen your email and wonder why you express yourself in this way?

Mats Olsson then says that he does not remember what he wrote and that he does not want to talk about it on the phone.

When SVT refers from the email, he says:

- I think it is easier to answer questions by email.

But how do you know who sold these drugs?

- As I said, it must be an email - now I will end this conversation, says Mats Olsson and hangs up.

In addition to being a member of the City Council, Mats Olsson is also a member of the reference group for final repositories in Forsmark and a deputy on the Nomination Committee.

"Repentant"

When SVT contacts the Sweden Democrats' group leader in Östhammar, Martin Wahlsten, he has spoken with Mats Olsson.

- Mats has contacted me, he is remorseful.

He has used inappropriate language, a language that the party does not support.

We are starting an internal investigation.

At the same time, he is urged to resign his political assignments for the Sweden Democrats.

- I have asked him to leave all his political assignments, says Martin Wahlsten.
