August 30, 2020 - Berlin police arrested 300 protesters yesterday during protests against restrictions on containment of the coronavirus in Germany. This was announced by the BBC. About 38,000 people took to the streets in the city for a demonstration that took place mostly peacefully.

Interior Minister, unacceptable behavior by no-mask demonstrators
The German Interior Minister denounced the incidents that took place yesterday in Berlin during the demonstration against the restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic as "unacceptable", with 300 arrests and an attempted assault on parliament in the evening. Seeing "extremists" attempting to break into the Reichstag building, seat of the Chamber of Deputies and "symbolic center of our democracy" is "unacceptable", Horst Seehofer warned in particular in the Sunday edition of the Bild newspaper. Last night, several hundred demonstrators broke through security barriers and a police blockade and climbed the stairs leading to the Reichstag entrance. They were prevented from entering the building by the police, who used spray to disperse the crowd and arrested several people.
