PSG obtained the postponement to September 10 of its resumption of Ligue 1 match in Lens, initially scheduled for Saturday, the League (LFP) announced on Tuesday, offering the Parisian club a few days of rest after its lost Champions League final.

The reigning French champion put forward a busy schedule that prevented him from preparing properly, while he only returned on Monday from Lisbon, where he played in the "Final 8" of C1 and lost in the final against at Bayern Munich (1-0).

If he will benefit from additional rest, PSG must still expect a busy comeback. Indeed, his trip to the Bollaert-Delelis stadium is inserted between France-Croatia (September 8) for the internationals, and the shock against Marseille at the Parc des Princes (the 13).

As a result of the postponement, the match between Strasbourg and Nice, initially scheduled for Sunday August 30 at 5:00 p.m., was brought forward to Saturday 29 (9:00 p.m.), in the slot occupied by Lens-PSG.

None of the first two days of the French Championship, which resumed on August 21 after more than four months of interruption due to the coronavirus pandemic, took place in a complete manner.

The first weekend of competition was cut off from the meetings of Lyon (in Montpellier) and Paris SG (against Metz), mobilized for the semi-finals of C1, as well as the poster between Marseille and Saint-Etienne, postponed due to several cases of Covid-19 contamination at OM.
