The Lyonnaises, patronesses of women's football in France and in Europe, have played and very often won top matches against their Parisian rivals, but without much leeway in recent years.

Focus on the main OL-PSG shocks recently played on the domestic and continental stages, before the semi-final of the Champions League between them on Wednesday in Bilbao (8 p.m.).

. Olympique Lyonnais victories

- April 24, 2016 in Lyon, semi-final first leg of the Champions League (7-0)

In front of a record crowd of 22,000 spectators, the Lyonnaises make short work of the Parisiennes with the key to doubles from Ada Hegerberg and Eugénie Le Sommer. The first period turned to ordeal for the players of the capital: beyond the five goals conceded, they lost Laure Boulleau, Kheira Hamraoui and Laura Georges to injury.

"Paris SG, while having a very good team, made some mistakes and, when you make mistakes, you have no chance of getting away with a great team like that of Lyon", comments the president of OL Jean-Michel Aulas. "I'm ashamed", reacted for his part the Parisian coach Farid Benstiti, a former Lyon.

- June 1, 2017 in Cardiff, Champions League final (0-0 ap, 7-6 tab)

In Wales, the players of Gérard Prêcheur (Lyon) and Patrice Lair (PSG) multiply the opportunities but Sarah Bouhaddi and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek stop everything. The shootout was endless, with one missed attempt by Lyonnaise Eugénie Le Sommer and another by Parisian Grace Geyoro.

The guards then take responsibility. Kiedrzynek misses the target but not Bouhaddi, who offers OL a fourth European title after those of 2011, 2012 and 2016.

"Everyone saw us winning hands down, we still had this lucidity, this humility to say that it is complicated. It becomes more and more tight", then summarizes Wendie Renard, captain of Lyon.

- September 21, 2019 in Guingamp, Champions Trophy (1-1, 4-3 tab)

For the first edition between the champions of France in Lyon and their Parisian runners-up, Nadia Nadim responds to the cannonball of Amel Majri who had put OL into orbit. The conclusion is played directly on penalties, without overtime. The Sommer shoots on the post but Bouhaddi is imperial in front of Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Geyoro.

Beyond the result, remains an image: the Parisian midfielder Geyoro in tears, comforted by his opponent Wendie Renard. "Lift your head, my dear," her French teammate told her. "We are moving forward, we are progressing, we are working. It has not gone very far," positive PSG coach Olivier Echouafni.

- August 9, 2020 in Auxerre, Coupe de France final (0-0, 4-3 tab)

The final postponed to August, after the long interruption linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, is being played out in continuous rain. The storm even caused a power failure and a quarter of an hour's interruption. Despite another failure by Le Sommer, Bouhaddi distinguished himself again during the penalty shootout by stopping that of Lea Khelifi, after a failed attempt by Parisian goalkeeper Christiane Endler.

. Paris SG victories

- November 12, 2014 in Lyon, round of 16 second leg of the Champions League (1-0)

After a score of parity (1-1) in the first leg, PSG surprised Gerland on a goal from Fatmire Alushi punishing sterile domination of the locals. "It's easy to say after the game, but in my head that's what I had planned to do with my players. It happened that opportunity. We didn't shake. We were strong in defense. ", relishes the Parisian coach Farid Benstiti.

Jean-Michel Aulas refuses to see it as a passing of the baton. "It was the most cautious team that won. We saw that OL had a considerable lead in terms of the quality of the game and the team," tackle the Lyon president.

. May 31, 2018 in Strasbourg, 2018 Coupe de France final (1-0)

At the Meinau, the Parisiennes won on a perfect sequence of Katoto: blow of the sombrero then strike from the left in front of Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, aligned in place of Bouhaddi, injured.

At the start of the second period, the final was interrupted due to violent storms. It resumes after an hour and a quarter break, on a waterlogged lawn. OL, deprived of a goal at the very last minute of the stoppage of play, announced an appeal for an interruption considered excessive, before giving up.
