Farida Al Hosani: Adhering to preventive measures against "Covid-19" is a national responsibility.
The spokesperson for the health sector in the country, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, confirmed that “the failure of some assisting workers to abide by preventive measures against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) was a reason for transmitting the infection from abroad to within the families they work for.”
She called on families to ensure awareness of preventive measures from the virus among the categories of assistive workers they work for, and to provide them with personal protection when leaving home.
Al Hosani revealed that the largest percentage of recorded cases of infection was among young people between the ages of 20 and 40 years, as a result of their complacency and their mistaken belief that they would not be affected by the injury compared to other groups, but in reality they are considered a transport agent for others, whether inside or outside their families.
She explained that studies indicate the presence of people who carry the virus and do not show symptoms of the disease, especially from the category of children and young people, who enjoy high immunity, but that does not prevent their causing the transmission of infection to the rest of the groups vulnerable to complications of the disease, such as the elderly and people with chronic diseases who hardly ever Pete is devoid of their presence. Al Hosani stressed that adhering to preventive practices and measures against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) represents a national responsibility that rests with all members of society.
She said that continuing to promote a culture of community awareness of health practices to prevent "Covid-19" is an urgent necessity in the current and future periods, noting that what has been achieved in terms of surrounding the spread of the virus and the decrease in cases of infection during the past stage was the result of commitment and cooperation from everybody.
Al-Hosani touched on the reasons that led to the increase in the number of new cases of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) during the past days, most notably the negligence of some people in wearing the muzzle and the lack of commitment to physical distancing in public places, home visits, and holding gatherings, noting that most of the infections resulted. On social occasions such as holding dinner parties, weddings, funerals and Eid visits, where it was observed not to adhere to the issue of wearing masks and refraining from shaking hands.
