Ruler of Sharjah approves 650 scholarships for outstanding students
The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority announced that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the lists of scholarships for the year 2020/2021 for 650 successful high school students to join the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah.
His Excellency Dr. Eng. Rashid Al-Leem, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, stated that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah approved the list of the first batch of scholarships with a total of 650 male and female students at the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah, including approximately 500 scholarships at the University of Sharjah and 150 at the American University of Sharjah.
He pointed out that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah directed the continuous reception of scholarship applications for the second batch until the first week of September, and it will be announced at the end of September for students who did not apply due to their joining the national service or any other circumstances.
He praised the directives and keenness of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, and his unlimited support for male and female students, especially outstanding students, easing the burden of education on families, and the concerted efforts of government agencies, departments and institutions to provide the best educational opportunities in a way that contributes to preparing qualified national cadres to meet the needs of the labor market, especially in technical specializations.
He stressed that distinguished education is the best investment and one of the most important foundations on which continuous development depends, noting that the authority is working to provide scholarships in order to support and support outstanding students and students and provide the necessary capabilities to develop their skills, provide the necessary specializations for the labor market, and provide practical training opportunities in the various departments and projects of the authority. .
