“We are sorry to inform you that on August 19, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus Gennady Shutov died,” the message says.
As noted, on August 13, in serious condition, he was transferred for treatment from the Brest regional hospital to the hospital of the Ministry of Defense.
“In the evening of August 18, there was a sharp deterioration in the condition, and, despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to save the patient,” the department added.
Earlier, TUT.BY, referring to relatives, said that 43-year-old Gennady Shutov had died in a military hospital in Minsk. He was reportedly shot in the head on 11 August in Brest during protests.
