German champions Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp was named the best coach in the English Premier League for the season ending after leading the club to their first championship title in 30 years.

Club-led Liverpool won 32 of the 38 games of the season, collecting 99 points to secure the title 7 rounds before the end of the championship season.

Klopp, 53, won the award after beating Chelsea coach Frank Lampard, Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers, and Sheffield United coach Chris Wilder.

During the season ending, Klopp was crowned the best coach of the month five times, beating Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola's record four times, which he achieved in the 2017-2018 season.

Also last month, the League Coaches Association named Klopp the coach of the year.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, who set up 13 crucial chances, was crowned second place behind Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, as the best young player of the season on Friday.

Alexander Arnold (21 years) won the award after beating Manchester United players Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood and Chelsea's Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount duo.
