The ex-girlfriend was pregnant with the couple's joint child. When the 23-year-old got to see a film where she hung out with drug addicts, he became angry and worried about the unborn child, he states at the trial in Varberg District Court.

Therefore, he took a friend with him and went armed with a knife to the apartment. There he stabbed a person, including with a stab wound in the abdomen.

The purpose was not to kill, he states himself. But Varberg District Court believes that the violence was so serious that it could have led to death.

He is sentenced to seven years and three months in prison for attempted murder.

As he was also under the influence of cocaine when he was arrested after the incident, he is also convicted of minor drug offenses.

The comrade is convicted of aiding and abetting assault.

After the 23-year-old had been arrested, the police found almost seven kilos of amphetamine, one kilo of cocaine and more than 30,000 ecstasy tablets in his apartment.

He was therefore charged - together with his ex-girlfriend - also for a particularly serious drug offense, but acquitted because it is not excluded that other people may have been in the apartment and placed the drug.
