Twitter announced Tuesday the end of the testing phase for a feature that enables the user to determine who can respond to his tweets, and the company has made the feature available to all of its users, whether by applying it to Android, iOS, or the web version.

Twitter explained how to use the service, as an option appears after creating the tweet at the bottom that allows the user to choose who can respond to it, and there are 3 options: everyone, the people you follow, and only the people mentioned in the tweet.

The company had said in January that this feature would be launched for everyone later this year. Although the feature limits the number of people who are able to respond to tweets, it allows everyone to see them, and the company will mark tweets that have restricted the number of people able to respond to them; So users already know.

It is believed that the feature may help users determine who can respond to Tweets to prevent abuse and harassment. By restricting responses to a limited group of people, users can have deeper and more focused conversations with people of their choice, without worrying about the trolls entering the conversation.

Twitter - which began testing the feature last May - added that all users can continue to like and retweet posts, but they cannot respond if they are excluded by the tweet.
