A Monoprix store. Illustration - A. GELEBART / 20 MINUTES

Big fright this Wednesday noon for the 150 customers who were shopping in the Monoprix de Sète. Part of the store's false ceiling suddenly collapsed. According to the Hérault firefighters, joined by 20 Minutes , the surface of the slabs that came off is "about 50 m2".

Three members of the same family, parents and their 20-month-old baby, were slightly injured in the incident. "The other customers were evacuated calmly and without incident," says Sdis 34.

The establishment, which underwent a security check in June 2020, is of course closed until further notice. Experts will have to determine the cause of this spectacular incident.
