US President Donald Trump has secretly discussed with his staff how to replace Defense Secretary Mark Esper after the November presidential election, Reuters reported.

Reuters reported, citing an anonymous source who was bright in the discussion on the 12th in local time, adding that President Trump was not trying to change Esper before the November presidential election.

White House Deputy Spokesman Jude Deer told Reuters that "there is nothing to present and it is not appropriate to forecast changes in the post-election or second term."

After being classified as a loyalist, Esper has been hated in recent months for his actions contradicting President Trump's position.

In June, following President Trump's opposition to mobilizing troops against racist protests against racial discrimination even by mobilizing troops in June, he publicly banned the public use of Confederate flags that President Trump had defended publicly in the military.
