Uniper noted that “the risk of failure of the Nord Stream 2 project is still considered the main individual risk” for the company.
Earlier, the EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer said that the EU is developing a mechanism to counter the extraterritorial sanctions of third countries, including those directed against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project.
In early August, US senators sent a letter to the operator of the German port of Sassnitz calling for an end to work to support the construction of Nord Stream 2.
