Mikhail Efremov became ill during the trial in the case of a fatal road accident, in which the artist passes as an accused. From the building of the Presnensky Court, the actor was carried out on a stretcher in an unconscious state. RT was informed about this by his lawyer Elman Pashayev.

According to the defender, the doctors suspected that Efremov had a pre-infarction or pre-stroke condition, and so far no one is allowed to see the patient.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have more detailed information yet - the hospital is in quarantine, no one is allowed to see Mikhail. Even his wife was not allowed in, "RT Pashayev said.

At the Botkin hospital, where Efremov was taken, they said that he was in intensive care in a serious condition.

“The patient's condition is grave. He is still in intensive care, ”a source told RIA Novosti.

Meeting postponed

As Elman Pashayev told RT, Efremov felt bad the night before. An ambulance team twice came to his home in Plotnikov Lane. Doctors, according to the lawyer, offered the actor hospitalization, but he refused.

"Mikhail did not want to miss the court session, so he refused hospitalization," the source explained.

On August 11, video footage appeared in the media showing how Yefremov limped down the stairs of his entrance to go to the meeting. When the actor was taken to the courthouse, he could not get out of the FSIN car on his own - the guards had to take Efremov by the arms.

At the fourth session on the merits on August 11, the interrogation of the accused himself was to take place.

Due to his hospitalization, the meeting was postponed to 10:00 on August 12. This was reported by the press service of the Presnensky Court of the capital.

This week, lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky, who represents the interests of the injured party, said that he had at his disposal an important piece of evidence - a video showing that at the time of the accident it was Mikhail Efremov who was driving the car.

“I managed to get a video, which captures the very moment when eyewitnesses of the tragedy help the driver (as he exits from the driver's seat) Mikhail Efremov to get out of the car. The record shows that no one else got out of the car, ”Dobrovinsky told RT. This entry has already been posted online.

In turn, Elman Pashayev called the video a fake.

“It's clearly edited. The person who is being pulled out of the car in the video has white sneakers, while Efremov had different shoes at the time of the accident, ”the lawyer explained in an interview with reporters. He also added that so far this video has not been attached to the case file.

6.5 million in moral damages

It also became known that the eldest son of the deceased Sergei Zakharov, Vitaly, filed a claim against Mikhail Efremov for compensation for moral damage in the amount of 6.5 million rubles. Zakharov's lawyer Sergei Avertsev told the journalists about this. In addition, the defense attorney noted that his client reserves the right to increase this amount.

“The fact is that there is too much false and incorrect information in the press, so there was a desire to convey to people the truth, how Vitaly really relates to the situation, what he wants and why,” said his lawyer.

In total, four relatives of the deceased appear in the case, who are recognized as victims. In addition to Vitaly Zakharov, this is the widow, brother and youngest son of Sergei Zakharov. Their interests in the trial are represented by lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky. Earlier, the lawyer said that his principals would also file claims against Efremov, but did not specify the amount.

Elman Pashayev commented on this news and noted that in practice the court does not decide on the payment of such large sums for moral damage: “No, the court pays up to 1-1.5 million rubles if there are two or three children or sick people. In this case, I do not know who is sick, who is dependent. "

Recall that on June 8, on Smolenskaya Square, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Efremov, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a Lada van. The driver of the van Sergey Zakharov was hospitalized and soon died from his injuries. As established by the examination, at the time of the accident, the artist was intoxicated. The Moscow prosecutor's office also said that traces of drugs were found in his blood. Efremov's defense notes that it has not yet been proven that it was he who was driving at the time of the collision. After the accident, the actor himself published a video in which he apologized to the family of the deceased, but later said that he could not admit his guilt, because he did not remember the moment of the accident.
