A state of sadness descended on the world following the massive explosion that occurred in the Lebanese capital Beirut last Tuesday, which resulted in hundreds of victims and tens of missing persons, and the displacement of tens of thousands, in addition to heavy material losses. This was followed by a wave of human solidarity with the people of Lebanon, about whom they have long known their love for life, before many rushed to provide support, not only moral but also material.

Although the victim is an Arab, the list of supporters extended to include Western stars and celebrities. Human solidarity was their motivation in that crisis and they called on their followers to donate for the benefit of the families of the victims.

The Clooney Duo

Perhaps the largest and most famous support provided so far, is what the American star George Clooney and his wife, the human rights lawyer of Lebanese origin, Amal Clooney, made, as they announced their intention to donate $ 100,000 to charities in Lebanon to help counter the devastation caused by the explosion, according to what was published in the newspaper. The British Daily Mail.

The duo chose 3 charitable organizations specifically to donate to them, due to the solid relief they felt on the ground. These entities are the "Lebanese Red Cross", "Our Home is Your Home" and "Impact Lebanon".

It is the donation that succeeded the duo's contribution of more than one million dollars to help those affected by the Corona virus last April, in addition to what they previously made of a large contribution to 6 charitable societies and organizations around the world, including the "Lebanese Food Bank".
