Yesterday, Russia announced that the emerging corona virus vaccine (Covid-19), developed by the Gamalia Center, will be registered by August 12.

The Russian Deputy Minister of Health, Oleg Gridnev, said in statements to him that "work is underway to prepare large quantities of the vaccine." He indicated that the medical workers and the elderly would be vaccinated first.

This comes at a time when Russia witnessed a slight increase in the number of deaths, registering 119 new cases within one day, compared with 116 cases the day before yesterday, bringing the total number to 14,725 deaths.

The number of laboratory tests conducted in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic to diagnose “Covid-19” infections reached the threshold of 30 million, of which 321,000 were carried out yesterday, and more than 246,000 people in the country are still under health control.
