According to the report, due to continuous heavy rains in recent days, a canal dam breached in the Daqingli area of Yinbo County, more than 730 bungalows and more than 600 hectares of rice fields were flooded, and 179 houses collapsed. As local residents have been evacuated to a safe area in advance, no casualties have occurred.
Kim Jong-un instructed to properly resettle local residents who have lost their homes and provide food, bedding, medicines and daily necessities to the people in the disaster area.
Kim Jong-un also stated that it is necessary to provide cement and other building materials for the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken areas, send troops to participate in the reconstruction work, and build 800 houses in the disaster-stricken areas.
