The Lebanese National Information Agency in Lebanon said that a massive fire broke out on Friday evening in Mount Machghara.
The agency reported, that a huge fire broke out this evening in Jabal Mashghara, and elements of the army, civil defense and the people rushed to work to besiege the fire, under difficult conditions due to the rugged area.
The agency stated, that the circle of fire expanded later, due to the winds, and the fire reached many homes on the outskirts of the town from Jabal Mashghara near the Al-Mansheya neighborhood in Al-Haret Al-Fawqa, in addition to the old oak trees.
According to the agency, the people of the region appealed to everyone who could help to intervene, calling on the army leadership to send a helicopter to contribute to the fire suppression operations.
