North Korean media reported yesterday that Chairman Kim Jong-un held a meeting of the Party Central Committee's Political Bureau. It is about providing food and living security to residents of the Gaeseong area, which is being blocked, and creating a new department in the Central Committee of the Party.

The Labor Newspaper and the Chosun Joongang News Agency reported this with photos from yesterday (6th) in the morning, but Chosun Central TV reported only the contents of the announcement without broadcasting the video until 8 o'clock last night. In some cases, Chosun Central TV broadcasted a photo or video of Kim's local map a little late, but it was common to broadcast it at 8 o'clock at night, so it was somewhat surprising that the video was late yesterday. For reference, North Korea's Chosun Central TV starts broadcasting at 3 PM on weekdays. Reports related to Kim are usually reported immediately after the start of 3 PM, at 5 PM, at 8 PM, and at 10 PM. Broadcasts repeatedly.

The video report of Kim's meeting with the Bureau of Jungmu appeared on Chosun Central TV last night at 9:20. It's quite late, but there are some things I understand when I look at the video.

● The Bureau of Government Affairs, held in the middle of the night, the

video starts with the outside view of the headquarters building of the Central Committee of the Party where the Bureau of Government Affairs is held. This means that a meeting was held at night.

The meeting started after Chairman Kim and the executives entered, but a clock is placed just behind Chairman Kim to know the time. The time on the screen immediately after the start of the meeting is about 12:05. Since the meeting was held at night, it means that it is 12:05 p.m., that is, 0:05 a.m.

As the meeting progressed, time went on, and the clocks pointing at 0:25, 35, and 50 were recorded sequentially in the video. After a long discussion, the time that Mr. Kim finished meeting was 1:45. The meeting that started at 0 AM was finished at 1:45 AM. Due to this delay, it seems that it took Chosun Central TV to edit the video and go through censorship before broadcasting.

●  Is

Chairman Kim Jong-un nocturnal? It is well known that Kim Jong-il, the father of Kim Jong-un, is nocturnal. It is said that it was a style of working late at night and sleeping late. However, it is not well known when Kim Jong-un is in the main working hours.

By the way, when I saw the caucus meeting at 0 am, I thought that Chairman Kim was nocturnal. This is because it is unlikely that anyone who works mainly during the day will start the meeting at 0 AM.

Vice Chairman Park Bong-ju of the party attended the meeting, 81 years old, born in 1939, and Kim Young-cheol, vice chairman of the Central Committee, 74 years old, born in 1946. It may be tiring at the dawn meeting, but at least the video doesn't show you getting tired. You shouldn't be tired at a meeting with Kim Jong-un. It seems quite difficult to live as a senior executive in North Korea.
