A tourist from Austria would take a picture at the statue of Venus Victrix. When he got up, he happened to destroy the toe of the statue - but pretended to be nothing. With the help of the surveillance images, however, the police were able to identify the man.
It was in the city of Possagno in northern Italy that the accident occurred. The man thus happened to destroy a toe on the plaster statue in connection with his wife taking a picture.
