On the driver's airbag of the car of Mikhail Efremov, biological traces of the actor were found. This follows from the materials of the criminal case, announced by the prosecutor.

“Sweat and bacterial cells were found on the deployed driver's airbags, which, according to DNA research, belong to Efremov,” said a prosecutor at the Presnensky Court in Moscow, where the trial began on the merits. RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

The actor's defense previously claimed that he was in the car at the time of the accident. At the same time, Efremov's lawyer insisted that there was no evidence of Efremov's stay at the wheel of the car. The artist himself claimed that he did not remember the events of that day.

In turn, the defense of the victims claims that they have a video recording made immediately after the accident. According to the lawyers, the footage shows that Efremov gets out of the car from the driver's side. To date, the video has not been made public, the defense promises to publish it later.

In the course of today's consideration of the case, it also became known that "microscopic" traces of tetrahydrocannabinol, a substance included, among other things, in the composition of hashish and hash oil, were found in Efremov's car. At the same time, no traces of this substance were found on Efremov's T-shirt and bag.

However, traces of cocaine and marijuana were found in the artist's blood. The substances were found in the blood test taken from the actor immediately after the accident. The concentration of drugs in Yefremov's blood has not been specified.

In court, traffic police officers said that according to the results of a medical examination, about 1.23 ppm of alcohol was found in the actor's blood, which corresponds to severe intoxication.

One of the inspectors, who promptly arrived at the scene of the accident, recounted in court a fragment of the conversation with Efremov immediately after the accident. According to the policeman, the actor showed signs of intoxication, and in the conversation he himself admitted the fact of drinking alcohol.

“Efremov confessed to me that he was driving. I asked him a question: "Did you drive a car?" He replied: "Yes, I was in charge." "Have you drunk?" - “Yes, I have consumed an alcoholic drink,” said the inspector.

In addition, the prosecutor noted that the artist exceeded the speed allowed on the site by 25 km / h.

"Efremov, while driving, showed criminal negligence, did not foresee the possibility of socially dangerous consequences, exceeded the established speed limit by 25 kilometers, moving at a speed of 85 kilometers per hour," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

At the same time, the artist himself did not admit his guilt in what happened. “I understand the charge brought against me. How can I admit my guilt when I don't remember anything? " - said Efremov.

Recall that the artist got into an accident on Smolenskaya Square on June 8, 2020. Efremov was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The actor's car turned out to be in the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Lada van, which was driven by a 57-year-old employee of Delikateska.ru, Sergey Zakharov.

Efremov was not injured in the accident, but the driver of the van with multiple injuries ended up in the Sklifosovsky Research Institute, where he died a few hours later. Later, the prosecutor's office reported that Efremov was in a state of alcoholic and drug intoxication. According to media reports, before the accident, Efremov spent time in one of the Moscow pubs.

After the incident, two criminal cases were opened: "Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles, entailing the death of a person through negligence and committed by a person in a state of intoxication", as well as "Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues" ...

On June 9, the Tagansky court sent Efremov under house arrest for two months. Later, on June 13, the artist recorded a video message in which he asked for forgiveness from the Zakharov family, declared his readiness to help them, calling this proposal an attempt to atone for his guilt. The relatives of the deceased stated that they did not accept the artist's apology and refused the help offered to him.

At the end of July, another court hearing was held in the case of an accident with the participation of Efremov, as a result of which the actor was extended the term of house arrest until January 22, 2021 - for six months from the moment the criminal case was filed with the court.

Under the articles imputed to Efremov, the artist faces imprisonment for a term of five to 12 years.
