The head of the organization, Mahmoud al-Karyuti, said that "the Jordanian earthquake monitoring stations at 18:08 recorded an explosion in neighboring Lebanon, equal in strength to an earthquake of magnitude 4.5."
On the evening of August 4, a powerful explosion took place in the Lebanese capital near the port. At the moment, it is reported that about 40 people have died.
