The pharmaceutical group Sanofi told AFP on Monday August 3 that it had been indicted for "manslaughter" in the investigation into the marketing of the anti-epileptic Depakine, opened in 2016, confirming information from the daily Le Monde.

Sanofi had already been indicted in February for "aggravated deception" and "unintentional injuries", as part of this investigation aimed at establishing whether there had been "deception on the risks inherent in the use of the product and the precautions to take, having had the consequence of making its use dangerous for human health ".
