The document, published on the portal of legal acts, extends the provisions of the law "On protecting the health of citizens from exposure to second hand tobacco smoke and the consequences of tobacco consumption" to electronic smoking products, including hookahs.
On April 22, the State Duma adopted the bill in the third and final reading.
The first deputy chairman of the profile committee of the State Duma Fedot Tumusov, in an interview with RT, noted that the deputies had been working on this problem for a long time before adopting the initiative. According to him, they intend to continue to improve legislation in order to "generally exclude the harmful effects of any nicotine on our children and youth."
