According to the verdict, the perpetrators, two men in their 30s and one in their 40s, used a lost driver's license to buy mobile phones on credit in several different electronics stores in Umeå on May 17 this year.

The personal information from the driving license was also used in connection with a theft from a Telia store in Skellefteå on 20 May.

The charges also included money laundering and minor drug offenses.

The other two were able to commit the crimes

Umeå District Court ruled that the total criminal value of the crime was so high that two of the men could not escape imprisonment. They are also required to pay damages.

According to the district court's statement, the man in his 40s was also the one who persuaded the other two to commit the crimes, which is why he was sentenced more severely than the others to one year and four months in prison.
