Veteran Yu Feng——

  Forever Recalling Barracks

Editor's note

Turning political advantage into a winning advantage

Those who have served as soldiers know better what soldiers need, what troops need, and what retired comrades need. Those who have served in the army support the army, which is worthy of attention and even more advocacy.

If serving as a soldier and being in a barracks are the direct beneficiaries of the cause of double support, then stepping out of the barracks and devoting to the work of double support will be a firm participant, active practitioner and active promoter of the cause of double support.

The experience of Li Chunsheng and Yu Feng tells us that accelerating the realization of the socialization and legalization of the dual support work can transform political advantages into winning advantages, and ensure that "there is no less than one for building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way; no one can be left on the road to common prosperity." Left behind".

Born in a military family, what he loves most is the military uniform; once a soldier, what he missed the most is the life in the military camp. Starting from March 5 this year, Yu Feng, an outstanding veteran of Shandong Province and the head of the Armed Forces Department of Yankuang Group, has another title: the chairman of the Zoucheng City Care for Veterans Association.

This is a social organization approved by the civil affairs department and registered in accordance with the law. It is also one of the 224 legally registered associations for caring for veterans across the country.

Concerns on the phone book

In Yu Feng's heart, there are two martyrs that he always cares about.

After he retired as a military cadre, he successively mobilized Sun Wei and Wang Tong to enlist in the army. During their service, due to unexpected accidents and glorious sacrifices, the two families who lost their loneliness fell into great pain. Yu Feng said to his colleagues with tears in his eyes: "As long as their parents are alive, I have a responsibility to help take care of them!"

In Yu Feng's phone book, the telephone numbers of more than 1,000 veterans are densely recorded, most of which are non-instructed veterans. "Let them have a decent job, and the sense of professional respect of the military can be better reflected, and the society can be more harmonious." In daily work, Yu Feng always pays attention to all opportunities to help these retired comrades in employment and entrepreneurship.

He once coordinated the Yankuang Group and its 75 subordinate units, took the lead in the establishment of service centers and 75 service stations for retired servicemen among state-owned enterprises in the province, collected information on 7,000 special care recipients and retired servicemen, and hung honorable cards for their families.

Niu Guichao, a veteran, has not found a suitable job after returning from the military. Yu Feng took the initiative to coordinate with a security company under Yankuang Group and arranged for him to be a police dog trainer. Niu Guichao trained police dogs out of Da Mingtang, and was rated as an outstanding employee for years. There are many veterans who have been helped by Yu Feng like Niu Guichao.

The list on the phone book is getting longer and longer, and Yu Feng feels more and more powerless. The power of a person is too small.

Moved by everyone gathering firewood

Seeing the establishment of associations for caring for veterans in many places across the country, Yu Feng couldn't sit still. He approached the local Veterans Affairs Bureau and the Civil Affairs Bureau for help, and the leaders of the two departments immediately gave strong support.

Unexpectedly, the real preparations, but encountered many difficulties.

After learning that this is a social organization related to veterans and engaged in dual support, many units and individuals took the initiative to extend their enthusiastic hands.

Without space, caring companies provide more than 6,000 square meters of office space for free; lack of manpower, friendly units are obligated to provide services such as industry and commerce, finance, taxation, and property; lack of experience, 3 retired military lawyers and local judicial agencies come to provide free assistance... everyone Picking up firewood with a high flame, Yu Feng realized that the preparatory process is also a process in which the double support work extends to the grassroots level and is effective at the end.

Work notes are the best testimony: since the establishment of the association more than 4 months ago, it has accepted 29 member units, 390 individual members, and stationed in 30 military-creative park projects, driving 800 veterans to find employment.

"Building a bridge between the retired military and the party committee and government, taking advantage of the unique advantages of the organization, and working hard to serve as an assistant in the work of the retired military." Yu Feng said, "There are more than 40,000 veterans in the city, and we will do our best to serve. Hello everyone, share the responsibilities for the party and the government."

The echo of the theme pavilion

  These are two successful appearances.

The association came forward to coordinate 63 different types of enterprises in the province, organized a 15-day online and offline recruitment, attracted 600 retired military personnel to sign up, and 180 people successfully achieved reemployment under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control.

Relying on 6 units including Shandong Fire and Security Vocational Training School and Zoucheng Veterans Training Base, the association provided free professional training in accounting, electromechanics, and fire protection for more than 900 non-mandatory relocation veterans. 80% of veterans obtained professional certificates and Get recommended employment.

Led by the association, the 1,000-square-meter "Don’t Forget Your Original Aspiration, Recast the Soul of the Army—Themed Exhibition Hall of Veterans’ Education" has allowed more veterans to realize the spirit of employment and entrepreneurship and then sublimate: from asking the government for “policy” ", turning to contributing to society, playing an increasingly important role in participating in epidemic prevention, loving donations, and voluntary services.
