It is noted that the parties "reaffirmed the firm commitment of Moscow and Manama to continue coordinated efforts in the interests of deepening the traditionally friendly Russian-Bahraini ties."

The ministers also discussed topical issues of "maintaining close foreign policy coordination, building up business cooperation and humanitarian cooperation, as well as bilateral cooperation in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection."

“Mutual interest was confirmed in helping to resolve conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa region and in establishing a dialogue on security issues in the Persian Gulf,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa the problem of resolving the Syrian crisis.
