It was on April 29 in Mörbylånga municipality on Öland that the man attacked a female doctor during a home visit. With the blunt side of an ax, he hit her in the head. Then a third person intervened and prevented more blows. The woman suffered wounds and subcutaneous bleeding in the head.
The man, who has a mental disorder, is sentenced to forensic psychiatric care and damages for attempted murder and grossly illegal threats. He was also convicted of unlawful deprivation of liberty because he allegedly prevented the doctor and the third person from leaving the apartment.
