The ministry said that the product is registered with the Department of Medication, and that it recommends healthcare practitioners consider the risk of prolonging the "QT" period, which can be fatal for measuring the risks and benefits of azithromycin in high-risk cases, including patients who are currently receiving treatment with active substances. The Ministry indicated that the currently available data do not change the benefits of using azithromycin against its risks, when using it according to its currently approved indicators, while following the relevant precautions for use, stressing the need to communicate with it in the event of any side effects of the drug.
