- Trump: Hitting Big Universities: United States Will Not Give Visas To Foreign Students Who Follow Online Courses
The government of President Donald Trump agreed on Tuesday to rescind the suspension of visas for foreign students enrolled in American universities offering all their studies online, after a lawsuit by 17 states, the District of Columbia, and several higher education institutions.
At a hearing in Boston, Massachusetts , where the lawsuit initiated by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was to be discussed , Federal Judge Allison Burroughs presented her reading of the agreement reached by the federal government and the academic institutions.
