July 14, 2020 "In Italy we are not yet in a safe haven" with respect to the coronavirus, warns Roberto Speranza in the Chamber, confirming the extension until July 31 of the measures - obligation to wear masks in the first place - in the new Prime Minister's Decree (Dpcm) . The risk now also comes from citizens from other countries, explains the minister of health.

Hope has not yet been decided on extending the state of health emergency, who is among those in favor. Today's data show the minimum of new infections since the beginning of the epidemic and good news from Lombardy, but also worrying outbreaks in companies in the North. "There is no zero risk without the vaccine, we must not underestimate the pandemic - says the minister in Parliament illustrating the new Dpcm -. The circulation of the virus accelerates and does not lose power".

Speranza recalls the great results of Italy, overwhelmed at the beginning by Covid-19, but urges not to lower the defenses. The government is committed on four fronts: the vaccine, in fact, "to be guaranteed as soon as possible to all citizens"; Covid hospitals, which will be built quickly - promises the minister - on the basis of the plans of the Regions; third, to increase the health workforce, with already almost 30 thousand hires; finally the safe opening of the school, "the most important game", for Speranza the real end of the lockdown.

Seven main restrictions extended at the end of July: mask requirement in closed places; spacing of at least one meter; hygiene measures starting from hand washing; compliance with safety protocols for the reopening of the workplace; ban on gatherings; criminal penalties for those who violate the quarantine obligation; ban on entry or quarantine for those arriving from non-EU countries and stricter controls on airports, ports and borders. Furthermore, in the new Dpcm, the stop for conferences, fairs and discos is extended and the indications for safe access to the beaches remain in force until 31 July, keeping the distances. Finally, you can take your hand luggage on the plane again.

Another context to be monitored, the migrants who disembark: 13 Bengali infected results, welcomed by protest sit-ins in Amantea, Calabria, were transferred to the Celio military hospital in Rome. Another 11 coronavirus positive in Pozzallo, Sicily, are in isolation in Ragusa. Meanwhile, the pandemic is evolving. According to the Higher Institute of Health (ISS), the identikit of those who get sick changes: they are always younger and more often men. The median age drops to 47 years (in the cases of the last 30 days), much lower than the 61 years of the early days. One positive out of two is between 19 and 50 years old.
