Member of the Libyan Parliament in Tobruk Issa Al-Uraibi revealed that the armed group that kidnapped Representative Siham Serqiwa is known by name to the security authorities in the city of Benghazi in eastern Libya.

Al-Uraibi said, in an audio recording published by the local "February" channel, that "Sirqouia was arrested and killed by a group of former regime supporters and criminal criminals who control the city of Benghazi."

In the registration, Al-Uraibi accused the Minister of Interior of the parallel interim government in eastern Libya, Ibrahim Abu Shanaf, of lying, after his statement that a terrorist group was the one who kidnapped Sirqiwa, stressing that Abu Shanaf knows those involved in the storming and kidnapping of Sirqiwa's house.

Al-Uraibi called - in the registry - to make a play to cover up the kidnapping of Sirqiwa, saying, "I asked MP Ali Al-Qatrani to speak with Aoun al-Farjani to stick the charge to a rogue group in Benghazi and accuse her of kidnapping Sirqiwa, and that the security authorities are searching for her, then after 24 hours they confirm the arrest of the perpetrators." Even if they are not caught. "

"We market that Benghazi is safe, secure, and stable, but it is governed by militias, followers of the previous regime, and whoever stole Serquia is involved," al-Uraibi said.

Al-Uraibi explained that Sarkia was subjected to an incitement campaign by a local channel loyal to Haftar, because of her refusal to war on Tripoli, and her demand to return to the political track and bloodshed.

An armed group loyal to Haftar, member of the House of Representatives, Siham Sirqiywa, was kidnapped from her home on July 17, 2019 in the city of Benghazi after the attack on her husband and family.

Hifter is the official,
member of the Supreme Council of the State, Amna Mutir, confirms that Al-Uraibi’s statements confirm that Hifter was the one who committed the murder of MP Siham Sarqiywa, with the planning and execution of his militia in Benghazi, eastern Libya.

"He who testified is a member of Parliament supporting pro-Haftar, who is al-Uraibi, and this confirms that Haftar extortes MPs and threatens them if they do not follow his orders," Mutair added to Al-Jazeera Net, noting that this crime is similar to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but with only the different perpetrators.

Mutair reports that Al-Uraibi’s statements indicate that the city of Benghazi and the eastern regions are under the grip of criminal gangs that have been tampering with the security of the eastern region instead of achieving stability and security for the citizen.

Mutair believes that "Hifter commits his crimes with regional support from the UAE, Egypt and an international cover-up," stressing the need for the international community to announce its position on these crimes supported by the Arab axis of evil.

Al-Mutair calls on the international organizations to quickly investigate the incident of the killing of Representative Sarquiwa and take the testimony of Al-Uraibi into account, noting that the United Nations Mission in Libya bears responsibility for covering up the crimes of Haftar, including the murder of Serquiwa.

A heinous crime
The Supreme Council of State member Ahmed Naqi condemns the murder of a female member of parliament, saying, "The killing of a female deputy is a heinous crime by all measures indicating the moral degeneration of her perpetrator," accusing those who control the reins of power in eastern Libya of taking full responsibility for the murder of a member of the parliament, Sirqiwa.

"We hope that the crimes of gagging mouths and confiscating the free word after the Libyan revolution against the tyranny of Gaddafi's rule will end," he added, speaking to Al-Jazeera Net, noting that there are abnormal parties that live on oppression and tyranny that wants to recycle it again.

Al-Naqi demands that official human rights organizations submit all files to the International Criminal Court so that criminals receive punishment, stressing the need not to cover up the perpetrators of the crime and expose them to the Libyan people and bring them to trial.

Not the first
, director of the Baladi Organization for Human Rights, Tariq Lamloum, said, "One year has passed since the crime of the kidnapping of Representative Sarquia without punishment, confirming that this crime will not be the first in the list of victims of forcibly abducted in Libya."

In his statement to Al-Jazeera Net, Lamloum explains that the relevant authorities must engage with the FBI's investigation office to press for an international investigation into crime, and other crimes committed across the Libyan soil.

He reports to Maloum that impunity has become a real threat to the justice system in Libya, and threatens the basic rule of the rights of citizens in the state.
