Rescuers from the Isère high mountain gendarmerie platoon, who arrived on the scene by helicopter, could not do anything to save him. A man in his sixties died on Sunday while walking with relatives in the Grandes Rousses massif (Isère).

According to  Le Dauphiné Libéré , the hiker lost his balance when he approached the Fare waterfall, in the town of Vaujany. He then fell over the precipice. France Bleu Isère indicates that an investigation was opened to understand the circumstances of this accident, which occurred at the beginning of the afternoon.
