During the corona pandemic, more people choose to go home, that is to say, have a holiday at home, while many events are canceled due to the virus outbreak.

That is why Karlskrona Municipality, together with Umbrella Production and Panncentralen, has invested in a new activity park in Kungsmarken. Through a loan booth, children and young people can borrow equipment for, for example, skateboarding, playing basketball or painting graffiti.

"We are basically the only meeting place that is open now and I think it means everything to these kids that something happens here," says Sebastian Chavez, a percentage for children and young people at Panncentralen.

Creates summer jobs for young people

The new park has also created holiday jobs for more young people in Karlskrona municipality.

- It is very fun and exciting to be here. It's fun for the kids to have something to crave because everything is set up, so the kids are really excited to be here, ”says Leoa Karim, holidaymaker.

The activity park will be in place until mid-August and is open every day of the week.
