"I know of many that we are going to bother." Amaia Martínez Grisaleña (Vitoria, 1968) has become this Sunday the first elected representative of Vox in the entire Basque Country , where the formation did not even have a single councilor. His seat for Álava , secured except for a major surprise with the count of the foreign vote, opens the doors of the Basque Country and the Basque Parliament to Vox. It is also a symbolic milestone for the party and emulates the one that Santiago Abascal achieved in 2005 and 2009 when she was a regional deputy for the PP. "It is a pride to do it for him," she affirms, "and that he has thus been able to set foot in his small homeland."
