Britain today called on the Libyan parties to a dialogue led by the United Nations, to reach a consensus on oil and gas revenues, which is one of the most prominent manifestations of the conflict in Libya, while sources said the city of Hoon in the Jufra region (southern Libya) that the city is witnessing civil disobedience and disruption of the movement Entirely, against the background of residents protesting the killings and kidnappings carried out by the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter.

The British Embassy in Tripoli said - in a statement - that "a fair distribution of oil and gas revenues will be an important step towards achieving a lasting political settlement in Libya." Britain also welcomed the announcement by the National Oil Corporation yesterday to lift the state of force majeure and resume work in the Crescent Petroleum.

The National Oil Corporation said yesterday that gradually increasing production will take a long time, as a result of severe damage to the infrastructure of the oil fields due to the closure imposed since January 17 last.

He was loyal to the successor of Haftar who closed the oil port at the beginning of the year (east), claiming that the money for selling oil is used by the internationally recognized government of reconciliation, and they also closed other ports and fields, which prompted the Oil Corporation to declare a state of force majeure in it.

Disobedience to Al-Jafra
On the other hand, local sources in the city of Hoon in the Al-Jafra region said that Haftar's forces kidnapped 3 of the city's residents, and two of them were killed under torture inside the headquarters of the 128th battalion of Haftar.

The sources added that the people of Hoon reject what they describe as the occupation of the Sudanese Janjawid mercenaries and the mercenaries of the Russian Wagner Company for their city, in which these mercenaries roam with their light weapons and military cars, as they put it.

Earlier, the city witnessed disturbances and the closure of its streets, which led to limited armed confrontations between a number of the city's residents and the forces of Haftar and gunmen from the Janjaweed factions supporting Haftar.

A member of the Presidential Council of the Al-Wefaq government, Abdel-Rahman Al-Shater, called, in a tweet via his Twitter account, Al-Wefaq forces to launch an air strike against the Janjawid mercenaries in the city of Hoon, in response to the killing of Libyan citizens.

In a separate context, Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum announced today his country’s rejection of all forms of external interference in Libya, and he said - during a forum organized by the Algerian newspaper “Al-Shaab” - that any external threat to Libya constitutes a threat to Algerian national security.
