The Hydrology Bureau of the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Commission upgraded and issued red flood warnings on the river section near the mouth of Poyang Lake and the Poyang Lake area at 13:00 on July 10, 2020, and continued to release the section from Chenglingji to Hankou on the main stream of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the section below Datong and Dongting Orange warning for floods in Huhu District and Shuiyangjiang River.
Affected by the continuous strong rainfall, the water level below the Jianli River in the main stream of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the Qilishan Station of Dongting Lake and the Hukou Station of Poyang Lake continued to rise, and all exceeded the warning level. It is expected that the water level of the main stream of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River from Chenglingji to Nanjing, Dongting Lake and Poyang Lake areas will still rise by about 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the next few days, and the river section near the mouth of Poyang Lake will rise to near the guaranteed water level.
