Two men aged 49 and 72 were convicted of pimping on Thursday by the correctional court of Béziers (Hérault). They were arrested on May 27, by the gendarmes, after an investigation of several months.

In police custody, they had recognized that they had been enjoying financial advantages for years by providing material support to four young women who prostituted themselves on the side of a departmental road, near Béziers.

Six and eighteen months suspended prison

The first housed them at his house for a fee of five euros per day per young woman, the other led them daily on the road where she prostituted herself, for, again, five euros per journey and per person, indicates Raphaël Balland, the prosecutor of Béziers.

The driver was sentenced to eighteen months suspended prison sentence, and the owner to six months suspended sentence. The two men, details the prosecution, had no criminal record, with the exception of a conviction for lack of insurance for the youngest.
