To reach their summer work, the reindeer need to cross Vildmarksvägen. Year after year they have been going to that particular place because it is the only place for the reindeer to also cross the river that runs in the area.
But the road is heavily trafficked and it makes the reindeer calves separate from the rope (the calf's mother), who does not dare to pick up his calf if it remains standing on the other side of the traffic stream.
