People with active coronavirus infection will not be able to go to vote in the Basque elections this Sunday, while citizens identified as close contacts of positive cases and who have had a negative PCR will be able to go to the electoral college, complying with certain protection measures. . The first group is made up of less than 200 people and the second by about 500, according to data provided by the Health Minister, Nekane Murga , this Friday.

The latter will receive an SMS this Saturday with instructions on how to do it if they continue "without symptoms". Specifically, they can only leave their home to go to vote, they must take the vote from home, at all times wear a surgical mask, perform "adequate" hand hygiene and keep the minimum distance of 1.5 meters, as well as attend in a low time slot.

The people who have been instructed to carry out PCR and that day were still pending the result will not be able to vote.
