- The idea behind this with the University of Europe is to have a stronger cooperation between the European universities. Linnaeus University already has 500-600 partnerships with various foreign universities, but in this way we can go into more detail and our students can participate in other universities' education even remotely, says Ann-Charlotte Larsson.

The EU initiative is being implemented to strengthen the competitiveness of European universities and colleges. It will be easier for students, teachers and researchers to study and work at other universities and colleges in Europe.

- This collaboration is very important for our students, but also for our teachers and their educational development. And for our researchers who get the opportunity to collaborate with strong universities in Europe, says Ann-Charlotte Larsson.

In addition to Linnaeus University, Chalmers University of Technology, Karolinska University, Luleå University of Technology and Uppsala University have also been allowed to participate in the initiative this year.
