A man was tried Wednesday in the criminal court of Quimper for acts of voyeurism. He is accused of having photographed people naked or undressing in the changing rooms of a swimming pool located in the south of Finistère, reports Ouest-France .

The case broke out on November 20 when two teenage girls, 13 and 14 years old, caught the individual spying on them through a hole in the wall. The man was immediately intercepted by the pool manager and an investigation was opened. During a search of his home, nearly 300 photographic files taken since 2016 had been found.

Prohibition to use a swimming pool for five years

At the helm, the individual, who has been undergoing psychiatric follow-up since 2012, acknowledged the facts. He was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence with compulsory care. He will also have to compensate the victims up to 300 euros each and is prohibited from using a swimming pool for five years, the daily said.
