Since taking office, the new Prime Minister Jean Castex has multiplied trips and meetings. Is this a sign of his own style, or of Emmanuel Macron's desire to show that the new government is in action?

The agenda of Prime Minister Jean Castex is (already) to say the least. After his first questions to the government in the National Assembly, he will go to the Senate in the afternoon, before going to visit the Bobigny court with Eric Dupond-Moretti, the new Keeper of the Seals. And that's not all: Jean Castex seems to be on the move.

Since taking office on Friday, the Matignon tenant has multiplied trips and meetings. And each time, he speaks, plugs into the files, promises reforms ... or money. Take his surprise visit to Ségur de la Santé on Tuesday evening. He landed in a decisive meeting with the unions by announcing an extension of more than a billion euros for the salaries of caregivers.

Castex style?

"Health, unemployment, pensions, everything will be put on the table," he promised to parliamentarians. And it's not finished. The new Prime Minister is expected in Guyana on Sunday. It must then deliver a general policy statement next week and then bring together the social partners before July 20.

This may be the Castex style. But it is above all a sign that Emmanuel Macron wants the government to act quickly, and that it can be seen.
