“We demand to stop political pressure on the NBU, not in words, but in actions. We expect a reaction to the unethical behavior of some people's deputies who came to the Verkhovna Rada to defend the interests not of the people of Ukraine, but of individual oligarchs. Deputies who systematically distort and discredit our work, ”the statement said.
According to the NBU, the deputies of the Parliament threaten them with the creation of temporary investigative commissions and verification.
Earlier, the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Yakov Smoly, said that he had resigned due to prolonged "systematic political pressure."
On July 3, Verkhovna Rada deputies dismissed Smoly from the post of head of the National Bank.
