In an open letter, 223 scientists from around the world are warning that they see evidence that the corona virus can be spread through smaller particles in the air.

The WHO is therefore urged by the researchers to update their corona information page, which at present does not describe the infection as airborne.

"Must be compiled"

Now the World Health Organization responds that they do not rule out the possibility.

"The virus can spread through the air in certain situations, such as cramped and poorly ventilated public spaces, cannot be ruled out," said Benedetta Allegranzi at the WHO at a press conference, according to Reuters.

However, she believes that it is still too early to draw definitive conclusions on the subject.

- The evidence for this must be compiled and interpreted, which we continue to encourage.
