The Moroccan Ministry of Interior said that the Moroccan Intelligence Office, which is affiliated with the Intelligence, has dismantled a terrorist cell in the city of Nador, in the northeast of the kingdom, consisting of 4 elements, including the brother of a fighter in the ranks of the Islamic State.
The statement of the Moroccan Interior said that preliminary research indicates that the cell members were planning to carry out terrorist operations targeting sensitive sites in the Kingdom.
The statement pointed out that the detainees were in close contact with the members of the cell that carried out terrorist projects and was dismantled on December 4, as part of a joint security cooperation between the Moroccan security services and its Spanish counterpart.
The four components of the cell were stopped at the time in Nador, in conjunction with the arrest of the cell leader in the outskirts of the Spanish capital.
