05 July 2020 The center-right would be leading the political elections held today in Croatia. This is shown by the first exit polls released by Croatian TV broadcasters. The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) led by outgoing premier Andrej Plenković, would get 61 seats (out of a total of 151) against the 44 assigned to the center-left, led by the social democrats of Davor Bernardić.

In third place there is a grouping of sovereign and nationalist parties, called "Patriotic Movement", to which the exit polls assign 16 deputies.

If the exit polls find confirmation, this is a completely unexpected result compared to the polls on the eve, which predicted a close head-to-head between the two main political blocs. The first official and partial screenings are scheduled from 9.00 pm.
