On Saturday at 3.30pm, 20 solo skippers set off for the first edition of the Vendée-Arctique-Les Sables d'Olonne, the last qualifying race for the Vendée Globe 2020. The participants set off for a loop of 3,556 miles. The departure of the "Vendée-Arctic-Sables d'Olonne" deckchair is one of the first sporting events since the deconfinement.
