The Director General of Fujairah Hospital, Ahmed Al-Khadim, revealed the closure of the Fujairah Field Hospital, which was set up in the exhibition grounds in the emirate, after bidding farewell to another person who was infected with the Corona virus, after he recovered.

Al Khedim confirmed that since its establishment, the field hospital provided services to treat patients of "Corona" by providing it with 450 beds to reduce the burden on hospitals in the eastern region, to accommodate simple and medium cases of Corona sufferers, with 60 medical, nursing and technical staff, along with 70 workers.

He stated that during the period of work in the field hospital, no cases were recorded among the medical cadres, including doctors, pharmacists, nursing and technical crews, which is considered an achievement in addition to the distinguished treatment services that were provided to patients, and contributing to their recovery from the pandemic.

He added that he still remembers the day on which he conducted a field tour with the Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, Major General Mohammed bin Ghanem and his work team, accompanied by the Director of the Fujairah Medical Region, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Saeed, with the team of the Fujairah Hospital, and remembers the first cases recorded in the Emirate of Fujairah for patients «Coffed- 19 », then the events accelerated, and the field hospital opened on May 2, and immediately began recording cases in a high level of professionalism and cooperation.

Al-Khadim indicated that with the intensification of the crisis, 78 beds, including eight, were allocated to intensive care at Fujairah Hospital.
